Shillong, Mar 28: To help in curbing the illegal mining activities in the State, Meghalaya police have set up a toll free helpline where the general public can confidentially report activities of illegal coal mining and transportation.
The public can used the number – 18003453846 – to report credible complaints/information. The number will operate 24 hours a day and the identities of informers will be kept confidential.
A Centralized Helpline Number has been launched for any credible complaints/information with regard to activities of illegal mining and transportation of coal in the State of Meghalaya.
