Shillong, April 29: The state on Saturday recorded 3 new Covid cases taking the tally of active cases to 18.

Of these, two cases were detected in West Garo Hills while 1 in East Khasi Hills, according to the health and family welfare department.

The death toll in the state stands at 1626 after a new death case was reported in West Garo Hills on Friday morning.

Two Covid patients have also recovered while four are still being hospitalized.

Meanwhile, the total tests conducted are 1439450 of which 96848 are positive confirmed cases.
