Aizawl, Nov 4: The Second General Election to Sinlung Hills Council 2024 is all set for the polls, which is scheduled for Tuesday.
According to officials, there are a total of 49 candidates, including one woman for the 12 member Sinlung Hills Council (SHC) election.
The three districts of Mizoram viz. Aizawl, Saitual and Kolasib are all set for the election on Tuesday (November 5) with 3rd and final randomizations of polling officials from the three districts completed at DC Conference Halls on Sunday.
The 2nd randomization of counting officials has also been completed.
The total number of voters stand at 23,789 with 11,875 male voters and 11,914 female voters.
The number of voters have increased by 2,875 since the last election in 2019.
The SHC election will cover a total of 12 constituencies with 38 polling stations.
In Aizawl district, there are a total of six constituencies with 19 polling stations; Kolasib district has two constituencies with seven polling stations; and Saitual district has four constituencies with 12 polling stations.
