Tura, July 1: Traffic has been disrupted in many parts of Tura following incessant monsoon rains in the Garo Hills region, causing landslides at multiple locations on Monday morning.

The Dobasipara (Tura – Dalu) road was blocked, bringing traffic to a halt.

Another landslide was reported in Upper Chandmari, causing damage to a property. A bike and a car were also reportedly damaged.

Although no casualties have been reported as of the filing of this report, however, a house in Deran Gittim, Tura (above Gandrak Falls) has been washed away by the landslide.
