Shillong, June 19: The NPP-INC new Executive Committee(EC) will be named as Khasi Hills Democratic Front (KHDF), informed NPP MDC Pyniaid Sing Syiem on Monday following the collapse of the outgoing EC led by UDP’s Titos Chyne.
The newly formed KHDF will have 12 MDCs of the NPP and 6 MDC of the Congress.
After the session, Pyniaid S Syiem filed for the nomination, after scrutiny of his post for CEM goes uncontested. Meanwhile, Teibor Pathaw the MDC from Mawlai will take over as the Secretary of the Council.
It may be mentioned, the Executive Committee (EC) led by Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) Titosstarwell Chyne collapsed on the first day of session, on Monday.
This comes after after 17 out of 30 members voted in favour of the No-Confidence Motion tabled by NPP MDC Bajop Pyngrope.
