NSA team meets Amritpal Singh and his associates in Dibrugarh Central jail

Dibrugarh, May 23: The National Security Agency (NSA) team arrived in Dibrugarh for the second time on Tuesday and met Amritpal Singh. Sources said the NSA team met radical Sikh preacher Amritpal Singh along with his nine associates at Dibrugarh Central jail, where they have been lodged for the last two months.

The four member NSA team led by Justice (retired) Shabihul Hasnain, Chairman Advisory Board NSA, along with Suveer Sheokand (member), Divanshu Jain (member) and Rakesh Agarwal, IGP, Punjab arrived at the Dibrugarh Central Jail at around 3:30 PM on Tuesday.

Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh’s father Tarsem Singh and mother Balwinder Kaur had met their son in the jail on May 18. Advocate Rohit Sharma and Advocate Rajdev Singh Khalsa (ex-Punjab MP) also accompanied them.

Amritpal Singh has been lodged in Dibrugarh jail since April 23.

Advocate Rohit Sharma said the parents of Amritpal Singh had come to visit their son at the Dibrugarh jail for the first time.

Apart from Amritpal Singh, the nine other Waris Punjab De members lodged in the maximum security Dibrugarh jail are Papalpreet Singh, Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal, Varinder Singh Johal, Gurmeet Singh Bukkanwala, Harjit Singh, Bhagwant Singh Bajeke, Basant Singh, Gurinderpal Singh and Daljeet Singh Kalsi.
