Guwahati, May 20: A tragic incident occurred at Athkhelia bebejia village in Golaghat district of Assam in early morning hours of Friday where three members of a family were attacked in which one person died and two were seriously injured.

The deceased person has been identified as Dibyajyoti Das (32).

The two seriously injured family members are Das’ wife Chumpi Das (26) and their son Priyam Das (9).

The accused has been identified as Nazidur Rahman (28), who has broiler chicken farm.

After the incident, the house was set on fire.

Villagers said that the incident took placed at Dibyajyoti Das’ house.

Local police investigation is going on in the matter.
