Pradyot announced his TIPRA will contest in election

Agartala, Feb 5: Pradyot Kishore’s ‘TIPRA’ will contest the next ADC election. Pradyot Kishore announced on Friday. With this declaration he said, their demand is Greater Tipraland.

He said, the concept of Greater Tipraland does not restrict us to simply the TTADC areas. We demand that every indigenous area/village which is today outside the TTADC should be included under the Greater Tipraland.

Pradyot also said, that he and his TIPRA is not against any community or person.

TIPRA – The Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance is a social-cultural organization formed by Pradyot Kishore after resigning from the Congress party one and half years back. This time it will contest the election as a political party.

Pradyot announced for Greater Tipraland. He said the formation of Greater Tipraland would include the areas outside the ADC where the people of the Tripuri community live. In this case, he said that the people of the Tripuri community in Khagrachari of Bangladesh are in a very bad condition. He said if NSCN can fight for Greater Nagaland, then where is the difficulty in the case of Greater Tipland. Pradyot also said that a separate council would be formed for the people of the Tripuri community.

Pradyot said they have called on all the regional parties to come together and form a platform to contest the elections. He called on political parties like IPFT, INPT, TPP, TPF to come together.

He was State Congress president during the last Loksabha Election in Tripura. But after the Loksabha election there were some fights in congress and he quit the party. Then he said, he will not join any political party or politics.

On Friday Pradyot said, he may contest in the ADC election also.
