Tura, May 20: In a bid to foster the growth of aspiring photographers in the region, a two-day workshop on photography organised by Prime Hub Tura, in collaboration with Dipankar Sarkar of Blueprint Creatives, began on Saturday. The workshop aims to provide participants with theoretical knowledge as well as hands-on experience through a photo walk.

The workshop on Saturday was attended by 24 participants, including two females, to enhance their photography skills. Dipankar Sarkar, the prime incubate of Blueprint Creatives, expressed his hopes that the participants had absorbed the teachings and would be able to apply them practically.

Moreover, Dipankar Sarkar revealed that a comprehensive three-to-six-month photography course would be introduced, scheduled on weekends at the Prime Hub in Tura. He credited the successful organization of the workshop to the unwavering support of the Prime team and mentors.

The significant turnout of 24 participants underscores the necessity of such workshops in the region, as aspiring photographers often lack opportunities for exposure and skill enhancement.

Prime Hub has been consistently extending its support to numerous entrepreneurs in the state, and this photography workshop stands as a testament to their commitment. These Prime Startup Hubs, initiated by Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, aim to empower the youth, guiding them to become entrepreneurs and job creators rather than job seekers. Both the Prime Hubs in Shillong and Tura serve as centers for innovation, knowledge sharing, incubation, and skill development. The dedicated PRIME team ensures comprehensive assistance to aspiring entrepreneurs, start-ups, and early-stage enterprises, helping transform their innovative ideas into sustainable businesses through effective networking opportunities.
