Nongstoin, Oct 25: Violence against women and children is a serious public health concern, with costs at multiple levels of society, With this thought in mind, District Legal Services Authority (DSLA) Nongstoin in collaboration with the office of the District Social welfare, Childline and Police Dept at Laitkseh Village along with Meghalaya Police West Khasi Hills District conducted interface programme to raise awareness on the rise of Crimes against Women and Children on Oct 25.

Various issues on crime against women, children, drug abuse, domestic violence, child marriage were as well the topics that were raised by the organisation.Programme collaborated with the Meghalaya Police, West Khasi Hills District and the Village Organization of Laitkseh village for an interface programme to raise awareness on the rise of Crimes against Women and Children. The organisation aim to work hand in hand to help curb these cases and to raise awareness altogether for a promising and fruitful tomorrow.
