Reckless driving: AHAM VP condemns incident

Purakhasia, Oct 25: Condemning the continual reckless driving resulting in loss of lives of the local people, the Vice president of A’chik Holistic Awakening Movement (AHAM), George Prince Cheran Momin has urged the authorities on their lackadaisical attitude towards the reckless driving of the dumper trucks in the area.

According to a press release, a video went viral on social media where an aged old woman was seen struggling for life as she was hit by the truck and was seen in a critical condition but was plain lucky to have survived.

Further, enquiry to the matter confirmed that the incident took place at Purakhasia near the PHC where allegedly dumper truck bearing a registration no. AS01KC6066 allegedly ran over the aged lady. The dumper truck as per the release belongs to one Sohid Ali from Kamrup Assam.

Giving a condemnation to the incident, Prince Cheran Momin, the Vice president of AHAM, Central Executive Board blames the district administration and the law enforcement agency on the lackadaisical attitude towards the reckless driving of the dumper trucks in the area.

He further urged the district administration to pull up their socks to prevent such incidents in future.
