Ri Bhoi’s ASHA workers mark their 3rd Annual meet with cleaning drive of Nongpoh Town

Nongpoh, Oct 30: The ASHA workers of Ri Bhoi District held their 3rd annual meet on Sunday at Nongpoh by organising a cleaning drive to clean the surrounding area of Nongpoh Town and National Highway-6 under Nongpoh Town to create mass awareness among the residents to understand the importance of maintaining cleanliness.

The 3rd annual meet started with the cleaning drive in the morning to clean the service road and the highway under the Nongpoh Town area, which was collectively participated by the ASHA workers. It was followed by the annual meet held at the Community Hall, Sajer Nongpoh.

The MLA of Nongpoh Constituency, Mayral Born Syiem, Nongpoh MDC, Balajied Rani and Mawhati MDC, Charles Marngar also attended the annual meet in order to express their gratitude to the ASHA workers of the district for their uncountable contribution toward better healthcare facilities and for the welfare of the society and community, as well as to motivate them to continue the same.

The annual meet was also attended by the Adviser, Plielad Tiewsoh, AHSA President of Meghalaya, Mirajune Myrsing, District Medical and Health Officer, P. Kharnary and the ASHA workers from different parts of Ri Bhoi District.
