Guwahati, June 7: Sanchita Rani Roy is an example for other mothers because the lady is performing both the duties as a cop and also of her motherhood at the same time. She is a police personal deputed in Silchar PI court.
She sets example for others who could perform both the duties at the same time.
Sanchita Rani Roy was seen walking into the office with a baby carrier while she being on duty with a seven-month-old baby, while she narrated the story of her motherhood.
Roy, with her maternity leave all but over, has rejoined her duty. She reaches office everyday at 10:30 am and heads back home after completing the necessary hours. She has been carrying her baby to the office as her leave has not been extended.
Talking to media persons, Sanchita Rani Roy said that as there is no one else at home who can take care of her baby, she is bound to bring her baby to the work with her. She says it gets uncomfortable at times, but she has no other option.
She lives in a rented apartment in Silchar’s Malugram area. She is grateful to her colleagues and department who have been very “accommodating”, according to her. She also said that “I do leave a little early as it gets very difficult for the baby to be with me throughout the day.”
Her husband is a CRPF Jawan and on duty out of station. They don’t have their family members in Silchar and so, for Sanchita Rani Roy, the only way to keep her job is to bring along her kid. Throughout the course of the discussion with the press, when Sanchita Rani Roy explained her situation and why she is bound to bring her child to work, she had a smile on her face.
