Guwahati, Jan 10: In Assam’s Karimganj district, authorities have imposed Section 144 of CrPC to avoid any flare up and disturbance as a fallout of the murder of a 16-year-old Bajrang Dal activist here on Sunday evening, where youth named Animul Haque has been arrested in connection with the murder of the Bajrang dal member Sambhu

According to police sources , Koiri was returning home from a three-day Bajrang Dal training camp in the neighbouring Hailakandi district when he was allegedly murdered.

There had been an earlier personal fight between the accused and the victim. The incident took place in the district’s Lowairpoa, around 50 km from Karimganj town.

The locals unit of Bajrang dal had gheraoed the Bazaricherra Police Station after the incident, demanding arrest of the culprits. Extra forces were deployed in the area to keep the situation under control, police sources further added.
