Shillong, May 31: The Synjuk Waheh Shnong Ri Jaintia (SWSRJ) has demanded the incumbent government not to initiate the Reservation Roster since the time Reservation Policy came into effect with 20% share consideration to the Jaiñtia community.

The SWSRJ, in a memorandum addressed to Dr M Ampareen Lyngdoh, the Chairperson of the Committee on Reservation Roster, stated that with the growing number of population and whereas the Khasi and Jaintia together have to compete among themselves with deficient in amount of 40% share. “.. if the Jaintia could not get the share (20%) so that it be satisfy 80% for all three Tribes (Khasi, Jaintia and Garo)”, said the SWSRJ.

“The reservation roster should be implemented from 2023 onwards,” added the SWSRJ.
