Shillong, Nov 8: In the Round 4-Plate of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Meghalaya Men’s Cricket Team beat Tripura by 10 wickets on Monday held at ACA Stadium, Mangalagiri, Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh.
C G Khurana and Akash Kumar picked up 2 wickets each from four overs while Dippu and Chengkam Sangma got a scalp each. In the batting department, Kishan scored a brisk 85 runs from 62 balls and C G Khurana made of 54 runs. Meghalaya scored a total of 147 runs without losing any wicket in response to Tripura’s 146.
Meghalaya Men’s Cricket team now stands at 4th position with 12 points just behind Tripura which is at 3rd position with 12 points but a better net run rate of 1.437 when compared to Meghalaya’s net run rate of 0.148. The group is topped by Vidarbha with 16 points and a net run rate of 4.537 followed by Nagaland at second spot with 12 points and a net run rate of 1.505.
