The Meghalaya Lokayukta (Amendment) Bill, 2024 introduced by the opposition Voice of the People Party (VPP) legislator from North Shillong Adelbert Nongrum was rejected through voice vote in the Assembly on Tuesday.
Deputy chief minister in-charge Transport Sniawbhalang Dhar on Friday informed the Assembly that government cannot restrict the entry of tourist taxis from outside the state into Shillong.
