Agartala, July 9: TIPRA Motha chairman Pradyot Kishore Debbarma has called on his party leaders to maintain pressure both inside and outside the assembly to compel the central government to meet their demand for Greater Tipraland.
Debbarma accused a faction of local BJP leaders in Tripura of attempting to divide his party, and he lodged a complaint against them with the BJP’s Central leadership.
He said that for him community is more important and only after that comes party and so for the betterment of the community he can even sacrifice his party.
Debbarma alleged that a conspiracy is been hatched to break the tribal unity and weaken TIPRA Motha, the main opposition with 13 MLAs in the 60 seat assembly in Tripura.
He revealed that certain individuals were offering money and positions to TIPRA Motha leaders and elected representatives, encouraging them to defect and form a new party.
Debbarma urged those who desired money and positions to leave TIPRA Motha, as he would not compromise on the demand for Greater Tipraland.
