Tura, June 7: Both the First and Second Division matches of the Tura Football League were played at the Chandmari Football Turf on Thursday. In the Second Division, A. Beng YC won with a dominating 5-0 against Upper Beldarpara SWDC. Meanwhile, in the First Division, Araimile SCYC defeated WI Spirit in an exciting 4-1 victory.
In the Second Division match, A. Beng YC dominated the game from the first whistle, maintaining good ball possession. Weltin S. Sangma opened the scoring with a goal in the 10th minute.
Rupam Rabha scored a hat trick during the match with goals in the 16th, 37th, and 48th minutes, respectively. The last goal for A. Beng YC was scored by Griksrang D. Sangma in the 58th minute.
Civillo Ch. Momin received the only cautionary yellow card of the game in the 68th minute.
While A. Beng YC showcased their dominating field presence throughout the match, Upper Beldarpara SWDC’s performance was all style with no substance, indicating a need for more practice.
In the First Division match, Araimile SCYC defeated WI Spirit in an exciting 4-1 victory. Araimile SCYC was the first to score, with Jellezel Marak securing a goal in the 36th minute. Dikki G. Momin of WI Spirit swiftly replied with a goal in the 37th minute. The first half ended in a deadlock with one goal each.
Coming back from the break, luck eluded WI Spirit despite their best efforts, as Araimile SCYC scored the remaining three winning goals in the second half.
Jonibirth Marak, Matsram Marak, and Vicky M. Sangma secured the victory for Araimile SCYC with their goals in the 55th, 59th, and 60th minutes, respectively.
