We cannot keep quiet if unpleasant things happen: Tynsong on possible fallout with BJP after raid at Bernard’s private farm

Must read

Shillong, July 25: Just days after the Tura police raided the ‘Rimpu Bangan’ owned by Tura MDC Bernard N Marak, which led to shocking revelations about nefarious activities taking place inside that premises, Deputy CM Prestone Tynsong said the MDA government, which BJP is a part of, will not be affected.

“Irrespective of being part of the government or not, we should let the law take its due course of action… law is law. Ofcourse the BJP is part of the government, irrespective of any party, we cannot keep quite if unpleasant things happen,” he said.

“The police acted after receiving all the inputs… if we need to go for a raid or a need arises for further investigation… just because one is part of the government should we stop taking any action?” he asked.

Tynsong also assured that with or without pressure the investigation will proceed and the law will take its own course.

On the independent inquiry, Prestone said it is too early to say anything about that as this issue is under the investigation of the police, but if there is a need of one, the government will immediately set-up an independent inquiry.
