Shillong, Oct 12: Skill training on Home Health Aid conducted by the Mihmyntdu Community Social Welfare Association (MCSWA) under the Meghalaya State Skill Development Society (MSSDS) was kick started on Wednesday at a function where the ADC, West Jaiñtia Hills, DD Syngai, was the Chief Guest, while Medical Superintendent of Dr. Norman Tunnel Hospital, Dr. N. Nongpluh was the guest of honour.

DD Syngai stated that MCSWA is unique association established back in 1982 that is still serving the society be it dealing with drug abuse, commercial sex workers, and now is training the youth on Home Health Aide.

She also applauded the youth (trainees) who have come forward to be trained on a subject that many have ignored. Further, urging them to work hard, she said money doesn’t have any value in such a profession as compared to the blessings one gets out of it.

Dr. N Nongpluh lauded the MCSWA and stated that this will be a memorable day for the Association because once the trainees complete their training they will be able to serve the society for a lifetime.

Earlier, Dr. JN Shullai informed that the trainees will be trained on how to nurse patients including measuring of blood pressure, administration of medicines, etc.

Altogether there are 30 trainees who will undergo the training for 3 months.
