Shillong, Oct 25: Dhanteras is celebrated on the thirteenth day of the Hindu lunar month of Ashwin. It is considered to be an auspicious day for buying gold, silver, and other precious metals. Additionally, people also worship Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Kubera on this day to seek blessings for wealth and prosperity.
Like every year, this year too, there is confusion about Dhanteras date weather it will be celebrated on November 10th or Novmber 11th.

2023 Dhanteras Puja, Dhantrayodashi Puja
Dhantrayodashi which is also known as Dhanteras is an important Hindu festival that falls on the thirteenth lunar day of the Krishna Paksha in the month of Kartik. It is the first day of five days long Diwali festivities.
Dhanteras 2023: History
It is believed that on this day Dhantrayodashi, Goddess Lakshmi came out of the ocean during the churning of the Milky Sea. Hence, Goddess Lakshmi, along with Lord Kubera who is the God of wealth, is worshipped on the auspicious day of Trayodashi. However, Lakshmi Puja on Amavasya after two days of Dhantrayodashi is considered more significant.
