Sniawbhalang Dhar provides financial aid to ‘India’s Best Dancers’ fame Steve Jyrwa

Shillong, Sept 11: Deputy Chief Minister, Sniawbhalang Dhar, on Wednesday provided financial support to Meghalaya’s latest dancing sensation, Steve Jyrwa, who is now the top 6 contestants at the reality show, “India’s Best Dancers”.

Jyrwa’s family along with All Meghalaya Dancer’s Association (AMDA) met Dhar and apprised him that they were unable to provide further financial assistance to the talented dancer and sought financial support. Dhar provided Rs. 50,000 to Jyrwa’s family so that the dancer could concentrate on the competition ahead.

Expressing joy at Jyrwa’s achievements at the national level, Dhar said, citizens of Meghalaya should vote in large numbers for the dancer of the state to ensure his victory. “Steve’s victory will be my victory, your victory, and everybody’s victory.”

Moreover, Dhar assured that he would arrange a meeting between Jyrwa’s family and the Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma, once he returns to the city.

Jyrwa’s mother, Bibi Jyrwa, expressed her pride over her son’s accomplishments and thanked the Deputy Chief Minister for his financial support. She also urged the public to support her son in the competition.

The 17-year-old dancer, is now in the top 6 of the reality show’s season 4 being aired on Sony. In this season the judges include Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor, choreographers Geeta Kapur and Terence Lewis.
