Shillong, Oct 15: The 19th Mr. & Ms. Meghalaya and 4th Mr. & Ms. East India Zonal Competition were held in Shillong on October 5, 2024.

The event witnessed the participation of 170 athletes from across the north eastern region.

There were also Officials and Judges from West Bengal, Assam, Orissa, Jharkhand and Manipur in attendance.

The annual Mr. Meghalaya competition saw a total of 90 athletes compete in 14 categories.

The East India Zonal Competition saw a total of 80 athletes representing West Bengal, Manipur, Assam and Meghalaya compete in 17 categories.

This was the first time that two events were held on the same day.

The state competition held in the morning was a qualifier for the East India competition and saw the debut of the Women’s Glamour Category. The best from each category were selected and given the option to either represent the state in the Zonal competition or the National competition to be held in Chennai.

Women’s Sports Model: Ms. Daribha Kharkongor: Iron House Gym
Women’s Glamour: Mrs. Larisa Z. Syiem: Flag’s Fitness First
Men’s Body building: Alfein Harris Nongrum: Muscle Up Gym
