Kolkata, Dec 18: A 21-year-old youth was found hanging in Kolkata’s Eden Gardens on Monday morning. His body was recovered from the K block of the stadium.

The youth has been missing since Sunday. The victim has been identified as Dhananjay Barik.

According to reports, Dhananjay was the son of Ganesh Chandra Barik, a ground staff worker of the Eden Gardens stadium.

The youth’s family members had filed a missing complaint at Maidan police station on Sunday.

“We are investigating whether it is a case of suicide or something else. The body has been sent for post-mortem,” said a police officer.
