Tura, Sept 11: The second semi-final match of the 2nd Inter Mahari Women’s Football Tournament was held on Wednesday at the P. A. Sangma Stadium in Dakopgre, between Chambugong Mahari and Bolwari Mahari.
Chambugong Mahari dominated the game with a 5-0 victory against Bolwari Mahari, setting up its titular clash with Mangsang Mahari in the final.
Chambugong opened the scoring with an amazing goal by Sailalianchi Ch Marak, as the ball went in after it hit the crossbar, in the 22nd minute. And swiftly following her was Tengchira Ch Marak adding to the scoreline with a goal in the 24th minute.
The first half ended with a 2-0 lead in favour of Chambugong Mahari.
Coming back from halftime with renewed energy, it was Tengchira Ch Marak again finding the back of the net twice in the 32nd and 45th minute mark, respectively.
As the Bolwari team still struggled for a comeback, Sailalianchi Ch Marak of Chambugong delivered the last blow with a penalty goal in the 59th minute mark.
No cautionary yellow cards were issued in the game.
With this win, the Chambugong Mahari team will be facing the Mangsang Mahari team in the final of the 2nd Inter Mahari Women’s Football Tournament September 21 at the P. A. Sangma Stadium in Dakopgre.
