Guwahati, Apr 3: Three people from Kerala, including two women, were found dead under mysterious circumstances on Tuesday in a hotel at Ziro in Arunachal Pradesh’s Lower Subansiri district, police said.
Police sources said that the hotel staff said that one guest, Naveen Thomas (39) from Kottayam in Kerala, had checked in the hotel along with his wife Devi B (39) and their friend Arya B Nair (29) from Thiruvananthapuram on March 28.
A police official said that according to the hotel staff the boarders have not been seen since Monday and early on Tuesday, on suspicion, the employees checked the room in which the guests were staying and found it locked from inside.
The hotel staff broke the door to enter the room and found that all the three guests were found dead, police sources added.
Police found Arya B. Nair (lady) lying dead on the bed with her wrist cut with a blade while Devi B was found lying dead on the floor with cut marks on her neck as well as on the right side of the wrist.
The lone male deceased, Naveen Thomas, reportedly an online trader, was found lying dead in the washroom with cut marks on his left wrist.
The postmortem report expected on Wednesday, the official said adding that an extensive probe considering all possible angles was on in the mysterious incident.
During the initial probe, it was known that there is a missing FIR registered against Arya B. Nair at Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala.
