Jowai, Feb 7: In a bid to encourage and celebrate local and traditional artisans, entrepreneurs, the District Commerce and Industrial Centre (DCIC) organised the 35th District Level Industrial Exhibition in Jowai, on Wednesday.
The two-day exhibition was inaugurated by Assistant Commissioner W K Kharbuli, on Wednesday, who lauded the initiative taken by the DCIC in organising a platform that showcases the products crafted by artisans, weavers, small scale manufactures from the district.
He encouraged the participants highlighting that exhibitions like this not just highlight their work but also provide an avenue for future opportunities to generate sustainable income through exposure in their respective field.
B. Warjri, General Manager of DCIC, in his welcome address briefed the objective and purpose informing that the exhibition is one of its kind giving advantage to local entrepreneurs, local artisans and traditional artisans to exhibit and showcase their product.
