Tura, May 1 : The 3rd P A Sangma Memorial Day & Night Cricket Tournament continued its exciting run on Wednesday at the Police Parade Ground in Tura. Day 9 saw decisive matches, but due to frequent rain interruptions, some matches in the evening were shortened to just 6 overs.
Match highlights of the day featured Rongram United defeating Fearless Baghmara by 8 wickets, and Hind Warriors registering a 6 wicket win against Dobasipara B.
Batting first, Fearless Baghmara were able to only set a target for 56 runs (scoring 55) with a loss of 6 wickets in the 6 overs. Come second innings, it was Krebat Sangma and Holding Momin’s partnership that led to Rongram United’s wicket-less victory, scoring 60 in just 3.2 overs. Krebat Sangma was awarded player of the match for his brilliant performance, scoring 45 runs in just 12 balls.
In the next match, Dobasipara B batted first and scored 56 runs in their 6 overs losing 6 wickets in the run. It took Hind Warriors just 2.2 overs to chase down the target with a loss of just 2 wickets, and Anup Saha was awarded player of the match for scalping 4 wickets in 2 overs and sparing just 10 runs.

– Thunderbird won by 135 runs against Munna Malik, and Rupon Khan was awarded player of the match.
– Selsella Jarambong Sports Association won by 73 runs against Bugara United B, and Lasting Sangma was awarded player of the match.
– Singwil Youth Club won by 6 wickets against Netaji Snagha Club, and Sengkan Marak was awarded player of the match.
– VENOM won by 4 wickets against Highlanders Warriors, and Pangkam Marak was awarded player of the match.
– Brotherhood won by 8 wickets against Saliram United, and Rikangchong was awarded player of the match.
– Drongo Cricket Team won by 78 runs against Little Champs, and Thronal Sangma was awarded player of the match.
