Tura, May 2: Exciting matches continued as the 3rd P. A. Sangma Memorial Day & Night Cricket Tournament completed Day 10 on Thursday at the Police Parade ground in Tura, with more teams losing and only the best ones remaining to take the competition forward.
Batting first, Thunderbird displayed exceptional performance setting a target of 145 runs (scoring 144) in their 10 overs with a loss of 5 wickets. Drongo Cricket Team, in their innings, just couldn’t surpass Thunderbird’s bowling lineup, mustering only 53 runs with a loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 10 overs.
Thunderbird won the match by 91 runs, and Raunaq Zaman was awarded player of the match for scoring 66 runs in 22 balls, smashing 8 sixes in the mix.
Guare vs Nightmares also saw a dominant performance. Guare set a target of 113 runs (scoring 112) with a loss of 6 wickets in 10 overs. Come second innings, Nightmares could only manage scoring 45 runs before being bowled out in 6.3 overs.
Guare won the match by 67 runs, and William was awarded player of the match, scoring 35 off 20 balls and scalping 2 wickets in 1.3 overs.

– Phulbari United won against Stunners 2.0 by 83 runs, with Sonu Kumar Singh as player of the match.
– WGH District NPYF won against Small Brothers by 14 runs, with Cyriac as player of the match.
– ABZO XI won against Phoenix7 by 8 wickets, with Aniket Basfor as player of the match.
– Cheram won against Nine Falcons by 138 runs, with Bilrak as player of the match.
– Selsella Jarambong Sports Association won against Dillang Challenge by 37 runs, with Stefort Marak as player of the match.
– Teens registered a 6 wicket win against Brotherhood, with Larryslomo Marak as player of the match.
