Tura, April 25: Day 3 of the 3rd P A Sangma Memorial Day & Night Cricket Tournament saw matches intensify on Thursday at the Police Parade ground in Tura as teams were knocked out, leaving only the cream of the crop in the competition.
The clash between SP XI B and Troublemakers proved to be a nail-biting affair. SP XI B set a target of 53 runs (scoring 52) with 4 wickets down in 10 overs. Troublemakers matched the score but lost their final wicket in 8.5 overs, leading to a dramatic super over.
In the super over, Troublemakers batted first, scoring 16 runs for the loss of 1 wicket in 6 balls, setting SP XI B a target of 17. Despite their efforts, SP XI B could only muster 15 runs, losing 2 wickets in 5 balls, thus handing Troublemakers a thrilling victory. Cavour Marak of Troublemakers was named player of the match.
The final game of the day, between KD Titans and Anggri Boys, was a dominant performance. KD Titans batted first, setting up a target of 129 runs (having scored 128) in their 10 overs, losing only 2 wickets, with Dim Sangma scoring 45 runs off just 27 balls.
However, Anggri Boys fell short, managing only 34 runs before being bowled out in 6.1 overs, securing a comfortable victory for KD Titans. Aisak R Marak of KD Titans was awarded player of the match for claiming 5 wickets in 3 overs.

– SP XI A defeated Gara Ganching by a margin of 185 runs. Player of the match was awarded to Shoriful Islam Khan of SP XI A
– Phoenix 7 won with 6 wickets to spare against Rongkhon Legend. Player of the match was awarded to Jaydip Hajong of Phoenix 7.
– Shallang Super Cops secured a victory by 57 runs against Duram Warriors. Player of the match was awarded to Ravin Dokgre Marak of Shallang Super Cops.
– Hill View Club Jenggitchakgre triumphed over Abri Jarek by 3 wickets. Player of the match was awarded to Walseng of Hill View Club Jenggitchakgre.
– Cheram defeated GHTTA by 7 wickets. Player of the match was awarded to Bilrak of Cheram.
– Bugara United-A registered a 7-wicket win against Gorkha Youngstars. Player of the match was awarded to Deepak Saha of Bugara United-A.
