Nongstoiñ March 1: In an unfortunate incident on Friday, a biker lost his life after his bike skidded and came under the rear tyre of a truck at Mawïaban Village, West Khasi Hills District.

The biker, identified as Phrailannes Nongsiej (54 years old), was a resident of Mawranglang Village, Mawranglang South West Khasi Hills.

According to police report, Nongsiej was riding near one HP Petrol station at Mawïaban when his bike, bearing registration number ML-06-4170, skidded and came under the rear tire of the truck, bearing registration number ML 06-A- 2572, driven by one Obarlin Sohshang a resident of Mawsaw West Khasi Hills District.

Nongsiej succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
