Shillong, Oct 31: The 67th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) marked the ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ also known as National Unity Day with ‘Run for Unity and Unity Chain’ event to celebrate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on Tuesday.
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was the first Home Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of India, he was famously known as the “Iron Man of India.”
According to the official press release issued, it said that to commemorate the occasion, the 67 Bn CRPF organized a ‘Run for Unity and Unity Chain,’ which was ceremoniously inaugurated at the 67 Bn CRPF headquarters in Polo, Shillong. The event was flagged off by Deputy Commandant Sanjiv Sharma, accompanied by other officials and personnel of the 67 Bnt.
