6th AHOR 4X4 Offroad Challenge: Kerala claims pro category, Meghalaya wins semi & stock categories

Nongpoh, Oct 13: The 6th edition of AHOR 4X4 Offroad Challenge by Adventurous Hynniewtrep Offroaders (AHOR) concluded on Saturday with off-road driver from Kerela clinching the winner’s trophy at the Pro Modified category.

The three-day off roading sporting event witnessed the participation of several off-roaders from Meghalaya and other states including in the women’s category.

The closing day was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Ri Bhoi, MB Tongper, as the chief guest in the presence of Donlang Sohkhlet, Vice Chairman of the Meghalaya Resources Employment Generation Council, AHOR President Damian Umdor, Vice President Ferdynald Kharkamni, Ferdinand Jahrin Secretary among others.

At the award ceremony, the winners were announced in which at the Pro Modified category the trophy was bagged by Mehboob K and Shafi CK of Kerela who also bagged the whooping cash award of Rs. 1.5 lakh.

Cameo Lawai and Freddy Mawrie bagged the top spot and won the Semi Modified category, while Rashid Mukhim and Banker Khongwir won the stock category. Meanwhile, Philita Syiem and Markynti Warjri bagged the trophy in the Women’s category; other awards announced were of the Best Driver and Co-Driver.
