Aizawl, April 29: The Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) on Tuesday announced the results of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2025 at its office in Chaltlang, Aizawl.
Out of 18,946 candidates who appeared for the exam, 14,527 students passed, recording an overall pass percentage of 76.68%.
This year’s topper is PC Lalthakimi, a female student from KD High School, who scored 475 out of 500 marks. She secured letter marks in all five subjects: English, Mizo, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science.

Among the successful candidates, 6910 are male students (pass percentage: 77.86%), while 7617 are female students (pass percentage: 76.63%).
Breakdown of results:
1343 students passed with distinction
3763 in first division
5785 in second division
3636 in third division
64 students placed in the compartmental category
4335 students failed to clear the examination
A total of 24 students secured ranks within the top ten positions. Notably, 107 schools recorded a 100% pass rate, while 13 schools reported zero pass results.
