Tura, Nov 15: Ahead of the 7th Edition of the Bilgaro car rally, the Tura Motor Sports Club (TMSC) carried out registration of participants and a meticulous scrutiny of their documents and cars to ensure they meet all the necessary parameters required for participation in the car rally.
The TMSC has a set of checklist which the participants must meet to be eligible for the rally.
The 7th edition of Bilgaro will be held from November 16 to 18, 2023 with cars and SUVs allowed in the marquee event of the region.
An official of TMSC informed that the participants need to arrive with their cars at the venue for the registration and the scrutiny. The initial step involves completing the registration form and submitting all required documents for both the competitor and the vehicle.
The scrutiny team follows a detailed checklist to assess and approve the vehicles. This includes ensuring road legality, functioning headlights, indicators, seatbelts and helmets for all participants and other essential components for a safe race.
For further safety, a dedicated medical team will be present throughout the rally days, stationed at strategic locations.
Rally Schedule:
– 16th Nov, Day 1: The participants will conduct a recce of the race track to familiarise themselves with the route.
– 17th Nov, Day 2: The rally kicks off with the flagging ceremony at Aldara Cafe at 8 am. Drivers will then head to Anogre for the “Sprint” category.
– 18th Nov, Day 3: The rally starts from Aldara Cafe, leading the drivers towards Aguragre for the “Hill Climb” category.
Even as this report is being filed, registration and scrutiny was continuing. Rally drivers from Nagaland, Assam, Khasi Hills, Jaintia Hills and around 10 drivers from Garo Hills are expected to take part in the rally.
