Guwahati, April 29: Rohit Basfor, a young actor who was reportedly part of the upcoming The Family Man 3 series, was found dead under mysterious circumstances near a waterfall in the Garbhanga forest area on Sunday. His family has alleged foul play.

According to police sources, Basfor’s body was discovered near the Garbhanga Waterfalls, located in a restricted forest zone near Guwahati. He had reportedly gone there for a picnic with a friend.

While preliminary investigations suggest that Basfor may have drowned, police say they are awaiting the post-mortem report to ascertain the exact cause of death. A case of “unnatural death” has been registered.

Basfor’s family, however, suspects that there may be more to the incident and has demanded a thorough investigation.
