Tura, June 20: Hours after a video of shopkeeper tampering of manufacturing and expiry dates on packages of bread had gone viral on social media, the safety officer on Tuesday sealed the bakery in Rongram town, which is 18 kms from Tura in Meghalaya.

This comes as a major development following complaints from Garo Students Union and Garoland State Movement Committee members .

The video which has gone viral few hours back, showed a shopkeeper of a bakery re-packing all the bread packets.

This incident raises a major concern on the food and safety of public in this region.
