Shillong, July 24: The Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Limited has announced a scheduled power shut down due to preventive maintenance work on Thursday.

The affected areas include Forest Colony, Lawmali, Polo Hills, MPRO, Dog Squad, J. N. Stadium, Pynthorbah, Golf Links, Microwave Mawpat, Shanmari, Khkiehshnong, DIC Campus, Mawlai Pata, Mawlai Mawroh, Mawali Kyntonmassar, Mawkynroh, Umshing, Mawlai, Mawtawar, Mawpun, Belfonte, Lumshyiap, Bivar Road, Bishop Cotton Road, and adjoining areas.

Power will be unavailable from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The corporation has assured it will try to restore power as early as possible.
