Shillong, Jan 24: A block meeting was held at Riangdo in the Mawthengkut constituency, on Wednesday, drawing party workers from various segments.
The event was graced by Dr. Ampareen Lyngdoh, Dr. Jasmine Lyngdoh (State Women’s wing President), Hamletson Dohling (Adviser to the CM), Gigur Myrthong (MDC), Ransom Sutnga, Macmillan Byrsat, and other members from the Women’s Wing, NPYF, and NPP parent body.
In her address, Ampareen Lyngdoh remembered her late father, Peter G Marbaniang, a parliamentarian, legislator, and academician who served as an MP for two terms acknowledging his legacy and contributions.
She also extended words of encouragement to the party workers, urging them to strengthen the party at the grassroots level and stressed the importance of a robust party structure and active participation from the workers.
Lyngdoh concluded by assuring the public that if elected, she would continue her father’s legacy by discussing and addressing issues in parliament affirming the commitment to serve the public.
