Ampati, Oct 22: A District Level Youth Exchange Programme themed “Today’s Youth, Tomorrow’s Leader” was successfully held on Tuesday at the Bado Multi-Facility Centre, Ampati. Organized by the District Sports Office of South West Garo Hills, the event aimed to foster leadership skills and cultural awareness among students.
Saljagring M. Marak, the District Sports Officer, hosted the programme, which saw participation from four schools across the South West Garo Hills region. The event featured various competitions, including painting, group and solo folk dances, solo songs, and group folk songs, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of the Garo Hills.
Sanjib Das from Hawakhana Higher Secondary School served as the quiz master for the quiz competition, which added an intellectual element to the day’s events. The programme was well-received, offering students a platform to showcase their talents while emphasizing the importance of leadership for the future.
The event concluded with an appreciation for the participants and winners of each competition, as the district continues to support youth development through such initiatives.
