Guwahati, July 13: Kirandeep Kaur, wife of ‘Waris Punjab De’ chief Amrit Pal Singh, Daljit Singh Kalsi ‘s wife Neeru Kalsi and son Simarjeet Sunny Singh Kalsi on Thursday met them in Dibrugarh Central Jail.
They had arrived to meet them in the Dibrugarh Central Jail on Thursday morning.
They were allowed to enter the jail after strict checking at the gate, nothing was allowed inside the jail.
Dibrugarh SP Shwetank Mishra was present at the Jail.
Earlier, Pro-Khalistan leader and Waris Punjab De (WPD) chief Amritpal Singh and his three other accomplices, who are lodged in the Central Jail of Dibrugarh in Assam, have filed a petition before the Punjab and Haryana High Court seeking to quash an order of Amritsar deputy commissioner whereby they have been denied the right to consult and be defended by the lawyer of their choice.
However, the petition is yet to come up for hearing before the high court.
On the request of Punjab government for security reasons, the petitioners were detained under NSA and sent to Central Jail Dibrugarh.
