Shillong, Nov 15: The second day of the 3rd edition of the Shillong Literary Festival was a delight for avid readers and those looking to new books to read to learn and enrich themselves about the history of the region as the latest works of numerous authors were unveiled.

The initial session featured a captivating dialogue on the Living Cultures from Garo Hills, featuring Balbara S Sangma, Colnat B Marak, Fameline K Marak, and Semberthus A Sangma.

The literary journey continued with the launch of Sanjoy Banerjee’s “Looking East – Indian Wisdom for Modern Management,” graced by the presence of D P Wahlang, Chief Secretary, and Patricia Mukhim, Editor of Shillong Times.

Bijoya Sawian’s “From Sylhet to Shillong” took center stage in the subsequent book launch, accompanied by a stimulating conversation with Dr. Streamlet Dkhar, adding another layer of depth to the literary tapestry of the festival.

In the following segment, Swati Daftuar engaged in a dialogue with Ambar Sahil Chatterjee, Mary Therese Kurkalang, Melkior Ch. Sangma, Naveen Kishore, and Senthil Kumar, exploring the intricate realms of “The Book World: Writing, Market, Platform.”
