Tura, Sept 26: The annual sports of Govt. Boys Higher Sec School in Tura started with a marathon race covering about 7.5 km for both boys and girls of all age groups.
The race began early in the morning, with participants showcasing their endurance and determination. The marathon route took them through Chandmari Playground and ended there as well.
A total of 45 students participated in the run.

The winners of the girls category were:
(1st) Marme D Sangma (green house)
Timing: 1st, 33 minutes
(2nd) Nome Sangma (yellow house)
Timing: 2nd, 35 minutes
(3rd) Maynira Ch Sangma (blue house).
Timing: 3rd, 35 minutes, 2 sec.
The winners in the boys category are:
1st Pringseng D. Sangma (Blue House)
Timing: 21 minutes
2nd Dekam Marak (green house)
Timing: 22 minutes
3rd Wish Heart S Sangma (Red House)
3rd Tainick (Green House)
Timing: Both 23 minutes
