Tura, July 17: Another citizen of Garo Hills has fallen victim to the Covid pandemic in Garo Hills, bringing the total to five deaths, from July 12th to 17th.

South West Garo Hills DC, Ram Krishna Ch informed that the victim, originally from Nogorpara village in his district and staying in Sunny Hills, Tura, expired from Covid-19 at around 2:40 AM on Saturday morning in Tura civil hospital.

He is the fifth casualty of Covid this week in Garo Hills. Earlier, two women died on Friday and another two patients passed away on Monday.

To fight the pandemic another round of Intensified Covid Vaccination of 1st and 2nd dose is being administered for the public of Tura from Monday onwards.

The free vaccination camps will start from July 19th till July 23rd in several places.
