Itanagar, June 22: In a gesture of solidarity and community engagement, Spear Corps of the Indian Army facilitated a significant prayer ceremony for the local residents of Arunachal Pradesh.
As part of Seema Darshan, the Universal Smoke Prayer Day was organized to foster unity and cultural exchange, reinforcing the strong bond between the military and the local populace, and also to pray to the almighty for the wellbeing of the entire mankind.
The ceremony heralded a new age of unity between the military and civilians, and saw locals gather in significant numbers at the first village of India- Gelling, and pray at the Chorten.
The ceremony saw the participation of numerous community members, local leaders, and military personnel, who came together to offer prayers for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of the nation and community.
The event featured traditional rituals and customs unique to the region, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of Arunachal Pradesh.
Local leaders and residents expressed their gratitude to the Spear Corps for facilitating the prayer ceremony.
“This event has brought our community closer and strengthened our relationship with the armed forces,” said the local elder of Gelling village, adding, “We appreciate the efforts of the Indian Army in respecting and celebrating our traditions.”
The commanding officer of Tuting Battalion emphasized the importance of such events in promoting mutual respect and understanding.
