Arunachal introduces “Pink Patrolling” for women’s safety, Women’s body lauds initiative

Itanagar, June 21: Arunachal Pradesh government has launched ‘Pink Patrolling’ initiative and has deployed advanced Police Control Room (PCR) vehicles, specifically designated for rapid response to incidents involving women’s safety. This initiative is a crucial part of the state government’s broader efforts to provide effective governance and foster a safer community.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu recently expressed his commitment to enhance women’s safety and promote gender equality in Arunachal Pradesh. Khandu stated that, “Team Arunachal Pradesh will amplify efforts to strengthen Pink Patrolling with PCR vehicles as part of ongoing measures to enhance women’s safety and gender equality and to give the best of governance to our communities.”

The Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS) has expressed its support for the state government’s new Pink Patrolling initiative, “We have high expectations that this will lead to tangible improvements in women’s safety and well-being,” stated an APWWS member.

The introduction of these PCR vehicles for Pink Patrolling is a major step forward in addressing safety concerns and to ensure swift responses to any incidents. The APWWS remains optimistic that the state government will continue to prioritize the welfare of women and children and implement more progressive measures to bring about significant positive changes in their lives.
