Itanagar, Feb 1: The Arunachal Pradesh assembly’s budget session is set to commence on February 8, with Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein expected to present a vote on account the following day. Governor Lt Gen K T Parnaik will address the members on the first day of the two-day budget session.
The 7th legislative assembly has been summoned for its 13th session from February 8 to 9, as per the governor’s order on Monday.
Chowna Mein, who serves as the state finance and planning minister, is likely to present the interim budget on February 9, preceding the upcoming assembly elections and Lok Sabha Polls later this year, according to sources. Additionally, the two-day session is expected to see the introduction of several bills.
