Tura, March 23: The A·chik State People’s Front (ASPF) has amped-up its efforts towards demand for a Winter Capital in Tura. Toward this goal, ASPF organized a bike rally and poster campaign on Saturday to advocate for the establishment of a Winter Capital in Tura.
The awareness campaign began at Gokol in North Garo Hills, passing through Bajengdoba, Pedaldoba, and Raksamgre before concluding at Kamari, Tikrikilla in West Garo Hills.
Speaking about the event, ASPF Chief Organizing Secretary Raksim Marak highlighted the campaign’s significance, stating, “This initiative forms an integral part of our broader awareness campaign advocating for the establishment of the Winter Capital in Tura. Through this poster and banner campaign, we seek to enhance public understanding of our rights concerning the Winter Capital. Our objective is to foster community unity and strengthen our movement towards realizing our long-standing aspiration for a Winter Capital in Tura.”

Upon reaching the rally’s final destination at Kamari (Tikrikilla), Ronald Sangma, Adviser to ASPF’s Eastern Zone, expressed gratitude to participants for their enthusiasm and support, emphasizing the importance of continued unity in achieving this common objective.
