Guwahati, Dec 4: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced a minor reshuffle of his cabinet, scheduled for noon on December 7.
Speaking at a press conference in New Delhi, Sarma revealed that the final list of changes will be determined after consultations with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president J.P. Nadda during his visit to Maharashtra on December 5.
“Discussions with Shah and Nadda will shape the final list. I’ll announce it tomorrow or the day after,” Sarma told reporters, emphasizing that the reshuffle would involve minor changes, with one to three ministers possibly being added or dropped.
While the specifics remain under wraps, the Chief Minister assured that the finalized list will be released after his high-level discussions, expected on December 5 or 6. The reshuffle is part of ongoing efforts to fine-tune the state administration ahead of key political milestones.
